Summit meeting in Kelkheim


This year’s summit meeting with Kelkheim took place on the weekend of the 31st March - 2nd April in Kelkheim. The Association was represented by the chairman, Tony Green, the vice chairman,Harry Holloway and the secretary, Mavis Holloway. They were accompanied by the Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor and Mrs Zia Ahmed. Kelkheim was represented by Mayor Albrecht Kündigerr, Wolf-Dieter Hasler, Chairman of the Council, Burgunda Laumen-Brunner, Councillor responsible for twinning and Dr. Beate Matuschek, Cultural Adviser.


At the meeting we were joined by representatives from various clubs and organisations from Kelkheim. As well as discussing the September group visit we also discussed various projects taking place between the two towns. These included the swimming clubs, youth projects, musical concerts and the police.


On the Saturday evening we were entertained by concert pianist Georgi Mundrov and on Sunday we were given a guided tour of Wiesbaden.

The Chiltern Hills Brass Band will be joined by the Oberhessisches

Blechbläserensemble from

Kelkheim to play a selection of musical pieces.


It will be held at Arts4every1, Desborough Road, High Wycombe, HP11 2PU.
