HIGH WYCOMBE TOWN
TWINNING ASSOCIATION

Preliminary meetings have taken place between members of the High Wycombe Town Twinning Association and representatives of the French town of Vernon, on the river Seine, with the possibility of a formal twinning taking place between the two towns.
The Town Twinning Association is keen to welcome new members from among the High Wycombe area. Family membership is only £10 a year (£5 single) and enables members to participate in twinning trips. We are looking to twin with a French town in the future so welcome anyone with interests in German or French twinning. Use the Contact page to get in touch.
High Wycombe Town Twinning Association was formed to maintain the twinning link established between High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire and Kelkheim near Frankfurt in Germany.
The twinning agreement, signed in 1985 stated:
· To maintain permanent bonds between our two municipalities, to promote exchanges of all kinds between their inhabitants with the aim of fostering through greater mutual understanding the true spirit of European brotherhood.
· To continue our efforts in order to further to the greatest extent within our power, the process of that essential undertaking for peace and prosperity:
The Association organises exchange events between the two towns and has a committee which meets regularly to plan trips and also organises social events for members. New members are always welcome.
